MyoGo Privacy Policy
Version: 1.2 Effective date: August 9, 2026Last updated: August 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Adecastic LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("Adecastic," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information in connection with the MyoGo mobile application (the "App") and your communications with us about the App. Our website and any other Adecastic products are covered by their own policies.
MyoGo is designed for use by parents and legal guardians together with their children. Throughout this policy, "you" means the parent or legal guardian who installs and manages the App.
The short version
MyoGo is built so that the information you enter about your child is not sent to Adecastic. There is no account, no login, and no Adecastic server behind the App — we never see your child's information.
- The App does not transmit personal information about you or your child to Adecastic. What you enter stays on your device unless you choose to export it or your own device backups include it.
- The camera and microphone are used only for live, on-device exercise feedback. No photos, video, or audio are ever recorded, saved, or uploaded.
- The App contains no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Deleting the App deletes the App's data from your device. Copies may remain in device backups you control, or in exports you previously chose to share.
- If you email us, we receive what you send. Section 10 explains how we handle that.
The rest of this policy explains the same things in more detail.
1. Information the App does not collect or send
We designed MyoGo to work without any account, login, or Adecastic server. Other than communications with Apple's own App Store services used to display and process subscriptions (see Section 5), the App is not designed to make network connections or to transmit anything you or your child enter — profile details, questionnaire answers, exercise results, camera input, or microphone input — to Adecastic or anyone else. Through the App:
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact information.
- We do not collect photos, videos, audio recordings, or face images.
- We do not collect precise or approximate location.
- We do not collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics.
- We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
- We do not sell or "share" (as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act) personal information, and we have not done so.
2. Information stored on your device only
To make the App work, certain information is saved locally on your device — and only there. We have no access to it. This includes:
- Child profile: the first name and age you choose to enter during setup. You may use a nickname or initials instead of a real name; the App works the same either way.
- Setup questionnaire answers: your answers to the optional intake questions (for example, questions about mouth breathing, snoring, speech, swallowing, or whether your child works with a therapist or has a sensory-related diagnosis). These answers are used solely on your device to suggest a practice focus and to show you informational guidance.
- Practice history and progress: completed sessions, exercise results, scores, streaks, rewards, stickers, and settings such as reminder times.
This information does not leave your device unless you choose to export it (see Section 6) or it is included in device backups you control (see Section 8).
3. Camera use and on-device facial-expression processing
MyoGo uses your device's front-facing camera, with your permission, to give your child live feedback during practice and camera games — for example, to recognize a cheek puff or a tongue stretch.
Here is exactly what happens, and what does not:
- The App uses Apple's on-device ARKit framework to read a small number of facial expression values (numeric values such as "how open is the jaw" or "how far out is the tongue"), sometimes called blend shape coefficients, and the on-screen position of your child's face, which some activities use to place playful effects (like a treat to chase) over the live camera view.
- These values are processed in real time, in memory, entirely on your device, only while a camera-based activity is on screen.
- They are discarded as they are processed. They are never saved to disk, never included in progress history, and never transmitted anywhere.
- The App does not take photos, record video, or store any image of your child's face.
- The App does not perform facial recognition, does not attempt to identify anyone, and does not create, store, or transmit any facial image or persistent facial template.
- These expression values are never used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than live exercise feedback, and are never shared with us or any third party.
You can revoke camera access at any time in your device Settings. The App will continue to function, though camera-guided feedback will be unavailable.
4. Microphone
With your permission, the App uses the microphone during specific activities to measure sound level only (for example, to detect a steady breath or a tongue click). Audio is analyzed in real time on your device and immediately discarded. The App never records, saves, or transmits audio, and it does not analyze speech content. You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings.
5. Purchases
Subscriptions are offered and processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account. We do not receive or store your name, billing address, or payment card details. The App receives only Apple's standard, on-device confirmation of subscription status (an entitlement) so it can unlock paid features. Apple may make aggregated sales and usage statistics available to us through its developer tools; these do not identify you or your child. Apple's handling of your payment and account information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
6. Information you choose to share (progress export)
The App's parent area includes an option to export a summary of your child's practice progress (for example, to send to your child's dentist, orthodontist, or therapist). This export is generated on your device and shared only through the iOS share sheet, using the method you select (such as your own email or messaging app). We never receive a copy. Once you share an export, its handling is subject to the practices of whomever you send it to, so share it only with people you trust.
7. Notifications
If you enable practice reminders, they are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device (they may include the first name you entered, shown only on your device's screen). No push notification service is used, and nothing is sent to or from a server. You can turn reminders off in the App's parent area or in device Settings.
8. Device backups
Like most iOS apps, some of MyoGo's locally stored data (such as practice progress and settings) may be included in the device backups you control (iCloud Backup or a computer backup). Your answers to the health-related setup questions are kept out of device backups entirely — the App stores them in a location excluded from backup, so they exist only in the App on this device. Your child's first name, age, and chosen reminder time are part of the profile and settings described in Section 2, and are included in backups along with the rest of the App's progress data. Backups that do occur are created and protected by Apple's systems under your Apple Account and are governed by Apple's own security and privacy practices; Adecastic cannot access them. If you prefer that no App data be included, you can exclude MyoGo from iCloud Backup in your device settings.
9. Children's privacy
MyoGo is designed for children to use together with a parent or guardian, and we take children's privacy seriously:
- The App is designed so that Adecastic does not collect or receive personal information from anyone — including children — through the App. All App information stays on your device, under your control.
- Based on the App's current functionality and data practices, Adecastic does not collect children's personal information through the App in a manner that would require verifiable parental consent under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We design the App around strong child-privacy principles regardless: no ads, no tracking, no sale or sharing of child information, and parental control over locally stored App information.
- Setup, purchasing, and settings are intended for parents and guardians only.
If you believe a child has used the App in a way inconsistent with this policy, contact us at privacy@adecastic.com and we will help.
10. If you contact us
The App itself does not send us personal information. If you choose to contact us — for example, by emailing privacy@adecastic.com, support@adecastic.com, or legal@adecastic.com — we will receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message. We use that information only to respond to you, provide support, protect our legal rights, comply with law, and keep appropriate business records. We do not add you to marketing lists, and we do not sell or share this information.
How long we keep it. Correspondence is the only personal information Adecastic holds, and we keep it no longer than we need it. Routine support and enquiry emails are deleted within 24 months of the matter being closed. We keep a message beyond that only where we need it to handle an ongoing dispute, to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim, or to meet a legal or tax obligation — and only for as long as that purpose lasts, after which it is deleted. You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner at any time (see Section 11).
Email travels over ordinary email infrastructure (yours and ours), which may involve processing outside your country. Please do not include sensitive information about your child unless it is necessary for us to help you.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the App does not send us personal data, the only personal data we typically hold is correspondence you have sent us (see Section 10) — you hold all App data on your device and can view, change, or erase it at any time:
- View or change: open the App's parent area to review profile details and progress.
- Delete App data: use Erase All Data in the App's parent area, or delete the App from your device. Either removes the App's locally stored data from that device. Copies may remain in device backups you control (which you can delete or exclude — see Section 8) and in any exports you previously shared.
- Emails: contact privacy@adecastic.com to ask us to access or delete correspondence you have sent us.
If you have questions or wish to exercise any right, contact us at privacy@adecastic.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Adecastic does not operate servers to which the App transmits your data, so Adecastic does not transfer your App data internationally; if you email us, your message is handled by email providers as described in Section 10.
12. Security
App data is protected by your device's built-in security, including device encryption when a passcode is set, and by iOS app sandboxing, which prevents other apps from reading MyoGo's data. Because the App has no server component, there is no Adecastic database of user information that could be breached. We recommend using a device passcode and keeping iOS up to date.
13. If our practices ever change
We built MyoGo to be private by design, and we intend to keep it that way. If a future version of the App ever introduces features that collect or transmit personal information (for example, optional cloud backup or accounts), we will: update this policy first, describe exactly what changes, present the update in the App before the feature activates, and obtain any consent required by law — including verifiable parental consent where required by COPPA — before any child's personal information is collected.
The "Last updated" date at the top shows when this policy last changed. Material changes will be highlighted in the App.
